The Garden Island

We are finally home from vacation!
After returning home for a day,
we drove down south to go to EJ's police academy graduation,
then finally home this morning for Kylah's volleyball tournament tomorow.
Now we need a vacation from our vacation!

Kauai was very beautiful and we will definitely go back.
By far the most beautiful island, more remote and very laid back compared to the other islands....but we loved it.
Traveling with a 2 year old leads to a different type of vacation.
Brenden and I had a little cold before we left and
although I got better, his got worse.
So, with the time change and a sick baby we were all adjusting to island life.
Ziplining, snorkeling, helicopter rides and long hikes were out of the question,
instead we found secret beaches,
went on long drives searching for waterfalls and hidden caves,
and just relaxed.
Everywhere was a postcard picture.
Lots of ocean views, waterfalls, umbrella drinks, wet and dry caves, shave ice, beach fun, rivers, egg hunting, taro fields, chickens,
visiting my friend Tifney's home,
and a Chuck Norris sighting while shopping.
Hoping for many more of our travels.
Enjoy!

Thank god for Disney movies on the ipad!

First of the umbrella drinks at Duke's

Love shave ice

Fresh malasadas are so delicious

Shopping in Hanalei

Shopping with Chuck Norris.

Egg hunting at the Westin

Happy Easter!

Visited my ex-teacher friend Tifney who lives on the island.

Fresh coconut juice. Now we can't ever drink the boxed stuff...no comparison.

Brenden loved the chickens

Pineapples

Loved visiting her orchard.

Kylah is in the background. One of the many secret local beaches.

This was our favorite places where the river and the ocean were in one spot.

Cheers! At Dolphin Sushi on the river

They cheers too!

My beach boy!
The beaches were breathtaking

Taro fields

Happiness!

Chickens everywhere

Wet caves

Views at the St. Regis

Throwing sand and getting dirty

Freshly picked flowers and fruits...and eggs

My newest ornament...from Kauai.

XO,

Tania
