After the big quake

Thanks to everyone for thinking about us during this crazy time.
I have never felt an earthquake like yesterdays before.
Being from So Cal, I should be use to them.
Yeah right, earthquakes are never easy.
Ryan had just got off working overtime at 3am,
so we were both up talking in the kitchen when it happened.
We ran upstairs to get the baby
(the stairs were swaying back and forth and
the chandelier above us was swinging like a pendulum)
and then heard Kylah screaming hysterically waking the baby.
I guess she was in a deep sleep and didn't know what was happening.
I think the worst part was how it kept going and going.
Seemed like forever.
It was pretty awful!
The epicenter was very close to us, but Napa got hit the hardest.
Because of that, Kylah's school was canceled today,
so kids and I are at home taking it easy.
Thankfully, we are all fine and didn't sustain any damages.
Besides a couple of drawers opening in the kitchen
and crooked picture frames on the walls,
 things are all good.
Ryan was more concerned about his Ford in the garage,
but nothing touched it at all.
That and all of his top shelf bottles were perfectly aligned in the bar.
We spent the morning sleeping in,
went to the local winery for a Harvest Celebration
 with barrel tasting
and cheese and wine pairing.
It was great to see our friends and neighbors
and talk about their earthquake experiences.
Then, we went to Costco to do our weekly shopping.
Life is good!
Here a some pictures from the aftermath.

We were all so tired from the early morning shake.

It was a bad day for downtown Napa.

Our backyard winery!

Wine and cheese pairing.

Barrel tasting with neighbors.

The Ford was unharmed. I can't believe that Ryan built this truck. He is amazing!

We woke up to this peaceful and calming view from our bedroom window.

Love Costco!

XO,

Tania
