Fall Fun

Fall has been fun, but November is here now and it's raining today!
Halloween was so much fun this year
because Brenden is older and was so excited about it.
We read books about Halloween,
watched cartoons on trick or treating,
made lots of crafts,
and of course decorated the house.
Pumpkin patchin' was amazing at Larry's Produce.
I took him twice and Ryan even took him again.
He loved playing in the huge tire tunnels,
climbing the hay bales,
finding his way through the corn maze
and exploring all different pumpkin sizes.
They even carved pumpkins!
One of our neighbors' has over 900 pumpkins
for everyone to go there throughout the week and help carve, hang out, eat, and on Halloween,
he lights them all up til 2am.
It's just amazing!
But B's ultimate favorite was....trick or treating of course.
We went to a friend's house for a party
and went trick or treating in her neighborhood.
It was the best place to do this with Brenden for the first time.
All of the streets were filled with hundreds of kids,
the beautiful houses were decorated just as scary as can be,
and you can just here laughter and talking everywhere.
The best part was hearing Brenden walk up to a house,
say trick or treat with his cute elephant costume,
then walk away as he looked at his bag and say,
"it's not filled to the top!"
Hilarious.
He wasn't even scared of anything.
Also, Ryan has been busy working the Cal football games,
and getting our rental ready for new tenants.
They moved in yesterday!
We had our annual block party
and love our neighbors and where we live!
And...eventhough nobody was as excited as I was,
we had our family pictures taken at our house just in time for the holidays!
More exciting news....Brenden is potty trained.
After months of reading books about "no diapers",
talking about it and letting him sit on the potty for fun,
He showed no interest, so I didn't even push it.
He was definitely ready
because he would tell us when he was about to go in his diaper.
Then one night, out of the blew he just said,
"let's go in my potty" and that was it it.
Today is day 8 and he hasn't had any accidents!
Super easy and no potty training needed.
He loves rewards,
usually marshmallows or fruit snacks,
but putting coins in his piggy bank is his absolute favorite.
Kylah just finished her first quarter of her junior year with straight A's again
and is wrapping up high school volleyball season looking like a star player,
and getting ready for playoffs.
Next, club season starts again and...
it's my birthday month.
 Enjoy!
